One of the most appreciated things by visitors and tourists is the view of the Roman rooftops, which can be admired from the Gianicolo or from the terrace of the Pincio, as well as from the domes of St. Peter and the Vatican Museums. Do not forget to make a stop at the Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous and evocative fountains in the world, surrounded by luxury shops such as Armani, Dolce and Gabbana and Prada, and with a beautiful view of the city.
Among the neighborhoods to visit in Rome there is Testaccio, the place where true Romans go for aperitif or to have fun. For a more modern experience you can choose Monti, a trendy neighborhood with vintage shops, bars and trendy restaurants. But Rome is also a city of big events: December 8th is the opening of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy wanted by Pope Francis.
And what about food? Roman cuisine is one of the most appreciated in the world, and a good cacio e pepe or amatriciana will take you on a dive into the most authentic Lazio cuisine. On the other hand, the Ghetto is the ideal place to taste authentic Jewish cuisine, while for the trendiest and youngest locals, but also for an economical trattoria, the districts of Pigneto and San Lorenzo or the new area between Garbatella and Ostiense offer everything, from the wine of the Castelli to the good Japanese sushi.
