Italo and
Il Paese della Sera

Italo is proud to support the project “Il Paese della Sera”, a publication dedicated to the world of volunteers and the non-profit sector.

The fortnightly publication, distributed free on board Italo trains, is the result of a collaboration between Italo and White Stone Company together with leading Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Cariplo Foundation and the Bracco Foundation, and is aimed at promoting ideals such as solidarity, charity and working for the common good.

The publication’s distribution on board Italo’s trains is key to the initiative in ensuring that its principles and messages reach a wider audience. It focuses on good news stories, celebrating the success and great contributions of the non-profit sector with tales of innovation and profiles of individuals and companies which do their bit for society and the environment.

Writers come from all walks of life and include renowned journalists and personalities from the world of show business who are closely involved in various charitable projects themselves.
One of the key focuses of “Il Paese della Sera” is helping less fortunate young people enter the workforce. As a simple, but practical example of this, the distribution of the publication is carried out by such young people.
It is our hope that the message of solidarity travels throughout Italy, whilst at the same time providing stimulating reading material for passengers.
