Safety in the station is the responsibility of station managers, not of Italo.
Italo’s commitment is to provide you with something extra, starting with a friendly, functional place open to all travellers where you can receive assistance and feel safer.
This place is Casa Italo, our in-station service centre , which is manned by Italo’s safety staff during its opening hours and equipped with video-surveillance and constant lighting 24 hours a day..
All Italo staff are trained to handle emergency situations which may occur on board or elsewhere.
Whatever you need, you can always ask our stewards who are present at clearly visible points in the station, and are also there for your safety.
Safety when boarding
Italo has paid particular attention also to the moment of boarding the train. All the access points, i.e. the areas you pass through in boarding the train, are covered by continuous CCTV recording which is visible from the Train Manager’s control point.
In this way, Italo offers an extra safety measure while the train is boarding, and CCTV continues to cover the luggage space located furthest from your seat throughout the journey.
