Traveling in Milan

Whether it's work, passion for fashion or love for design, there are more and more ideas for taking a train ride to Milan, the most international city in Italy.
For a day trip, the unmissable destinations of a visit to Milan are the Duomo with its Madonnina, the most famous symbol, Castello Sforzesco, the Church of Sant'Ambrogio, Piazza della Scala with its Teatro alla Scala, and the imposing Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
From here with a few steps you arrive at the most famous department store in Italy, la Rinascente, and with just ten minutes on foot you can reach the Quadrilatero della Moda, the shopping area par excellence, which is enclosed in the four streets of via Montenapoleone, via Manzoni, via della Spiga and Corso Venezia.
In Milan, the design week every year attracts operators from all over the world and the districts of Brera and Tortona come alive with the events of the Fuori Salone showing the best of the Milanese nightlife.
To get to know the trendiest area of the city you have to go down to the Darsena and discover its famous Navigli (Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande).
But Milan is also art, where you can admire Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, the Last Supper, or visit the exhibitions at the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Triennale or the exhibitions at the Prada Foundation. The city of Meneghina, the engine of the country's economy and home to the stock exchange and the prestigious Bocconi University, also hosts the most important trade fairs and events in Europe, to be marked on the agenda: the Salone del Mobile, Milan Fashion Week or the Artigiano at the fair.
For a business trip you cannot miss a visit to the reborn Porta Nuova area, a project that has enriched the Milan skyline with new skyscrapers, including the Unicredit Tower and the award-winning Bosco Verticale.

Traveling in Treviso

They call it "the little Venice of the mainland" and this nickname gives a hint of the magical atmosphere that can be felt in Treviso. There are two ways to explore the Venetian town, along its inner roads or along its many waterways, but the best way to reach it is undoubtedly on board Italo. It is a small town and, once you get off the train, it takes only a few minutes to reach Piazza dei Signori. Here is the most representative building in Treviso, Palazzo dei Trecento, which once housed the three hundred members of the municipal assemblies, from which it takes its name. Not far from here you can reach the Peschiera, a small island on the Cagnan Canal, where the traditional fish market is located. This is one of the most characteristic corners of Treviso, because around it there are mill wheels, ancient bridges and historical buildings overlooking the waterways. The historic center is surrounded by the old city walls, with its typical red bricks. Along the walls you can admire what were once the entrance gates, which have been well preserved over the centuries. Among these is the Porta San Tommaso, with its white bas-reliefs celebrating the famous lion of St. Mark. A few steps from the Cathedral and its colonnade is the ultimate shopping street in Treviso, Calmaggiore. Under the elegant porticoes coexist glamorous windows, small historic shops and gelato shops that look very inviting. If you want to take a break during shopping, you can seek refuge in the many cafes or restaurants in the center. What better opportunity to get to know the local culinary specialties? Anyone who wants to taste a good dessert cannot help but choose the classic tiramisu, strictly prepared according to the traditional recipe. For a complete meal the choice is very wide, ranging from appetizers based on soppressa and polenta, to the typical pasta and beans as a first course, and finally perhaps with a second course based on white meats, accompanied by the tasty Pevarada sauce (based on spices and pepper). To visit Treviso it only takes a day or a little more, and with the new Italo routes connecting Treviso, Pordenone, Udine and Conegliano, there are no more excuses to delay a trip to the Venetian town. Book your Italo ticket to Treviso and get ready to explore this magical city, divided between land and water.
