With its fame as the capital of fashion, design and high finance, it is the perfect destination for a weekend. While the historic city offers visitors a wide range of attractions, its rich culture and gastronomy make it an ideal destination for everyone.

Start your visit of Milan with a walk in the city's historic center, starting from the Duomo, one of the largest religious buildings in the world and the symbol of the city. Continue with a visit to the Sforzesco Castle and the Church of Sant'Ambrogio, from where you can admire the skyline of Milan. In the end, you cannot miss a stop in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the most famous Italian department stores.

Near the Galleria is the Quadrilatero della Moda, an area full of luxury boutiques, which includes Via Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni, Via della Spiga and Corso Venezia. Here, in addition to shopping, you can enjoy a coffee in the city's fashionable cafés, such as Pasticceria Marchesi, which offers classic Italian delicacies.

Once you have finished your shopping, you can descend to the Navigli area, one of the trendiest areas of the city. Here, you can taste the best Italian specialties, such as ossobuco alla milanese, and drink a beer in the numerous fashionable bars. For a night of fun, you can then go to the vicoletti of Monti and the osterie of Trastevere, where you will find the trendiest locals and a wide range of wines from the Castles and Japanese sushi.

If, on the other hand, you are in Milan for business, you absolutely have to visit Porta Nuova, the reborn area of Milan, where you will find skyscrapers such as the Unicredit Tower or the Bosco Verticale. In addition, do not forget to visit the numerous fairs and events that the city hosts, such as the Salone del Mobile, the Milan Fashion Week or the Artigiano in Fiera.

Traveling to Salerno

Salerno is a city on the Campanian coast that, thanks to its cultural and environmental heritage, offers a variety of tourist attractions. Its mild climate and strategic location, between the sea and the mountains, make it an ideal destination for a holiday or a weekend of relaxation.

First of all, the historic center of Salerno is a real jewel, a must-see is Piazza Flavio Gioia, where you can admire the Fountain of Neptune and the Palazzo di Città, which is the seat of the municipality. Further north is Piazza Portanova, one of the largest and most evocative in the city, with the imposing Duomo di Salerno. Not far away are also the Church of San Giorgio and the Provincial Museum of Salerno.

If you want to spend some time at the beach, the nearest beach is Maiori, but if you love nature, the Irno Valley nature reserve is another option to consider. For a trekking experience, you can also climb the famous Mountain of the Five Miles.

As for gastronomy, Salerno offers a great variety of typical dishes. Among the most famous are the ravioli alla salernitana, the melanzane alla parmigiana and the famous Pastiera Napoletana. Once you finish lunch, you can end with a nice cup of coffee, one of the specialties of the city.
