On-board staff

Italo has trained its on-board crews by selecting candidates carefully and certifying them at the NTV Training School.

Only after having completed the lengthy preparation course and having passed the final exam can our Train Managers, Hostesses and Stewards join the Italo team.

This means you can be sure that you will always receive the right type of assistance and the right answers to your questions.

Every Italo train has a team of five people on board, each with different duties:

Train Manager This on-board official is the reference point for all travellers during the journey.
Responsible for safety, staff and services.
The train leader.

Train Specialist Supervises work on board the train, ensures that everything is working as it should and that customers are happy.

Hostesses and stewards Whether you need to order your meal or ask for information on your journey, you can always turn to our on-board staff.

Did you know that…

We offer certified hospitality Italo staff are certified at the NTV Training School, where we train our staff to offer you the best possible welcome, both on board and in the station. All the staff who will be serving you are Italo employees and are never sourced from other companies. They are employed on permanent contract, which improves the overall level of service and helps create a relaxed working environment.
